Ultimate Treasure Hunts' games, activities and challenges are based on the international sport of orienteering. (www.us.orienteering.org). Whether it's a little kids' map-based treasure hunt or a large-scale GPS challenge for big kids, Ultimate Treasure Hunts offers and delivers to our clients a specific brand of learning, challenge, camaraderie and, most importantly, fun.

Founder and President, Deborah Humiston, has been competing in, organizing events and teaching orienteering skills for over 20 years. Her original introduction to the sport and the excitement of map navigation and "all things nature" came from an inspiring teacher she crossed paths with in her teenage years. The confidence that comes from making decisions, solving problems and trusting your own knowledge is useful in all areas of one's life. Today, her true inspiration comes from teaching children and adults about her extensive background in and knowledge of the navigational arts and wilderness skills.

From the experience of competition and her expertise in working with people of all ages came the incentive to establish Ultimate Treasure Hunts in order to bring the type of learning and fun that enhances self-confidence, decision making, team spirit and awareness of one's surroundings." I found that kids of all ages were very open to the lessons that orienteering, navigation, and map skills offer; philosophically relating to life and "finding one's way."

Ultimate Treasure Hunts offers this magnitude of fun, adventure, and learning to kids and adults in different settings like schools, parties, corporate events and social gatherings. Everyone who participates in an Ultimate Treasure Hunts event receives the life-long benefit of learning and discovery and, ultimately, remembers the experience as the highlight of their event.
